Thanks for joining me you perfect people. My name is Megan and I’m here to combat the issues we face in hating our bodies and talking openly about mental health. I have suffered from Anorexia Nervosa for many years so I have had plenty of experience with hating my body.
The pressures of society enforce that we should all look a certain body type which just isn’t maintainable and in my opinion, a bad representation of the human race. We are all different and beautiful in our own way and it’s time we embrace and appreciate that no body is the same. I’m here to spread the word on being inclusive of all body types at any size as well as draw on a few of my experiences and obstacles I had to overcome. Their is far too much stigma around mental health and I strongly believe we should be talking about it instead of hiding in the shadows – the silence only creates more shame. We should embrace our struggles and use it for something positive rather than being ashamed. By opening up myself, I hope I can make a difference by making others feel confident enough to reach out for help and I hope others will be able to relate to some of the things I have been through.
Honesty will get you one step further
